Bebe Rexha’s parents are recovering from coronavirus

Bebe Rexha’s parents are recovering after they both contracted COVID-19.

“They got sick with the coronavirus and were very ill for three weeks, and I got very nervous,” the 30-year-old singer told Extra.

Rexha, who lives in Los Angeles, desperately wanted to drive across the country to be with her New York City-based parents but they refused.

“They were so adamant about not having my brother and I there, but finally they got better,” she said. “Finally they can taste food again. I’m really grateful.”

She added, “I am happy that New York is getting into a much better spot and the East Coast is starting to see the light.”

The “Meant to Be” singer has released a song for the graduates of 2020 called “Here’s to 2020” explaining that, “no other generation has gone through anything like this. It’s a testament to them, like, anything that comes their way, no matter what comes our way, we’ll get through it.”

While self-quarantining, Rexha has been keeping busy by cooking up a storm and holding zoom meetings with DJ and producer David Guetta.

Cleaning fanatics are soaking their loo seats in the bath to clean them – but some reckon it’s just too gross

DEEP cleaning the home can be tough – but what do you do about your toilet seat?

Some homeowners have been sharing how they remove their loo seat entirely and soak it in the bath, but others have hailed this as gross.

A photo of the trick was shared on the Facebook group Cleaning Tips & Tricks and has divided cleaning fans.

In the shot, both the lid and the seat are fully submerged in soapy water, in a bid to leave it squeaky clean.

The poster wrote: “Did not know this was a thing, how many people actually do this? Curious to know.”

One person who was in full support of the cleaning method said: “I don’t understand the “Don’t Do It “ ppl… germs can be washed away, just like when you bath yourself.”

Another commented: “I'd love to, mine doesn't come off.”

Another person revealed: “This is nothing I’ve heard people put them in their dishwasher.”

However, the majority found the idea gross, and said they would never do it in their own homes.

One wrote: “Uhh I would never soak something meant to hide poo in a place I get clean. No amount of bleach will convince me it's clean after that lol.”

One added: “I would feel uncomfortable getting into my bath after a bog seat had been soaking in it, regardless of how clean the bath was after.”

Meanwhile, a person pointed out: “For y’all saying gross because you wash in the tub.. well that same butt that sat on that toilet just got in the shower and washed that butt.”

Home guru Martha Stewart recommends that you clean the exterior of your toilet using a dry paper towel and disinfectant spray.

She advises on her website: “While you might be tempted to use a wet cloth, when it comes to a disinfectant spray, water isn't necessary.

“Using a paper towel, wipe the disinfectant off the toilet's exterior, working from the top to the bottom.”

Meanwhile, these are the clever cleaning hacks that will help you reach those awkward spots… from using a SCREWDRIVER to clean the toilet to a genius tongs tip.

Previously, we revealed the professional cleaning tips to make YOUR home sparkle.

And here are seven cleaning tips, including how to dust, iron and polish correctly.

This summer women are embracing Big Divorce Energy

Around two years ago, we all became aware of BDE.

Big Dick Energy. We convinced ourselves that Pete Davidson had it for a very brief period while he was dating Ariana Grande – but even though it was short-lived for Pete, the concept of BDE is enduring.

Big Dick Energy is all about the vibe you give off. An implicit confidence and self-assurance that gives the clear impression that you are well endowed – regardless of whether or not you actually are. And you can possess BDE even if you don’t have a penis.

Now there’s a new BDE on the block that has nothing to do with genitalia – Big Divorce Energy.

This is the palpable vibe of confidence, self-assurance and new-found freedom that flows from the very pores of someone who is newly divorced, or soon to be divorced – and it is a beautiful sight to behold.

The first recorded evidence of Big Divorce Energy can be found in a photo of Nicole Kidman taken after finalising her divorce papers from Tom Cruise in 2001.

She is standing in the sun with a look of determined joy on her face, head thrown back, arms stretched wide, basking in, one can only assume, the tantalizing promise of her imminent singledom.

As the icing on the cake, Miley then wore an audaciously killer outfit to her divorce hearing. All black, plunging neckline, big glasses, barely-there stilettos, and absolutely zero f***s.

Another study found that divorced fathers are more likely than divorced mothers to experience depression, and more likely to self-medicate with alcohol.

So if you notice a positive change in a friend who has been divorced recently – Big Divorce Energy might be behind it.

It’s transformative, empowering, and flips the tragic ‘woman scorned’ stereotype completely on its head.

Embracing BDE could be just the thing to help someone transition through an incredibly difficult period of their lives.

Fans Are Not Impressed With Future’s Birthday Shoutout To His Son With Ciara In Comparison To Russell Wilson’s

Ever since Russell Wilson began his relationship with Ciara, he’s taken an active parenting role in helping to raise her son from a previous relationship. Prior to getting serious with Ciara, Wilson’s mother had a heart to heart with her son to ensure he understood the responsibility of what it takes to be a present stepfather, and Wilson has surely lived up to the role.

Though Ciara’s ex, rapper Future, does have a relationship with their son, there have been very public co-parenting issues between Future and Ciara, and fans have long felt that Wilson was a better role model for his stepson than Future.

This proved to be the case after both men took to social media to wish Baby Future a happy birthday. While both men’s messages to their beloved son were lovely, fans believed Wilson’s to be more heartfelt and expressed such online.

Future and Russell Wilson wish Little Future a Happy Birthday

Wilson has been in Baby Future’s life since he was just a few months old. Within six months of his relationship with Ciara, he proposed and they married a few months later. The two have since welcomed a daughter together and Ciara is currently pregnant with their third child – but Wilson has committed to treat Baby Future as his own child.

Baby Future recently turned six years old and Ciara gave her son a special birthday shoutout on Instagram but posting a video of her giving him six big kisses for his big day.

Wilson followed suit with a touching video of precious moments featuring him with his stepson. The video showed Wilson and Baby Future diving into their home pool and swimming together from one side end of the pool to the next. Wilson beautifully captioned the video in part:

“You are my daily inspiration. My best friend…Full of Love, Joy, and Grace. I thank Jesus everyday for who you are & being able to lead & guide you.”

Baby Future has been heard affectionately calling Wilson “Papa Russ.” Wilson famously spoke of his love for Baby Future to BuzzFeed in 2019, saying,

The thing that I’ve learned the most is that being a stepdad and then also having our little daughter as well, being a stepdad, you really find out what love’s like. It’s interesting. It’s easy to love somebody that’s blood and everything else, but when you can love somebody just like it’s your own child and everything else, that’s what real love is like.

Future made sure not to miss out on publicly acknowledging his son’s birthday with a tweet writing, “Happy Birthday FUTURE. Love u FOREVER twin.”

Fans clown Future’s birthday wish to his son in comparison to Russell Wilson’s

There were some fans who took offense to Wilson referring to Baby Future as his son, though the overwhelming majority of social media users are in love with the way Wilson loves his stepson and find it commendable.

“@DangeRussWilson @ciara Happy Birthday Future! The way Russell loves him is amazing glory be to God blessing this child with love,” one wrote on Twitter.

Others feel that Wilson is the better parent and that Future’s birthday wish for his son fell flat.

“Russell Wilson continues to do Future job as a parent better than him and instead of improving, he recruits his stans to troll that man and Ciara on the internet whenever he drops a new project,” wrote another.

“The fact that the stepdaddy had a more deep, loving, and sentimental Happy Birthday message than the birth father,” one wrote on Instagram.

“Russell shows the difference between a father and a dad,” wrote another.

Luckily, Baby Future has three involved parents in his life and that’s truly all that matters!

Gyms are reopening in Hong Kong – and this is what social distancing workouts could look like – The Sun

GYMS across the UK are set to look very different once the current lockdown measures have eased – if photos of reopened gyms in China are anything to go by.

Pictures of fitness studios in Hong Kong show treadmills separated by glass partitions, water fountains removed and phone wipe stations.

⚠️ Read our coronavirus live blog for the latest news & updates

The Government has already warned that gyms won't be able to start reopening until July at the earliest – but this could be later depending on the reduction in numbers of Covid-19 infections.

Studios will also have to pass several tests before opening their doors again to prove they can ensure the safety of gym-goers amid the pandemic.

Currently, people are permitted to "exercise outside as many times each day as they wish" since coronavirus is less likely to spread outdoors.

But what will happen when gyms fully reopen their doors?

Here, we’ve rounded up what changes could be in place when you finally get to sweat it out in your local gym again…

1. Temperature checks on arrival

Gyms could follow in the footsteps of various restaurants and airports across the world and introduce temperature checks.

This would involve having a thermometer aimed at your forehead every time you go to the gym to identify if you're sick.

If a person has a fever and therefore might be infected with coronavirus, they would then be turned away and urged to seek medical care.

2. Health declaration on arrival

Hong Kong gym-goer Virginia Lau revealed on Twitter that she had to give a health declaration on arrival at her gym amid the coronavirus pandemic.

This would confirm that you're fit and well and do not have coronavirus.

3. Partitions between machines

Most gyms and fitness centres have their treadmills and machines packed together pretty tightly, so these could be separated by glass partitions.

These dividers will help to stop the spread of the virus when two-metre distance, in line with the UK Government's advice, cannot be easily maintained.

This has been seen in Hong Kong, China – where gyms are slowly starting to reopen.

4. 'Do not use signs' on every other machine

In a bid to ensure gym-goers are able to maintain the two-metre social distancing rule, 'do not use' signs could be placed on every other machine.

Showers and chairs in reception may also be sealed off with signs.

5. Water fountains sealed off

While coronavirus isn’t a waterborne virus, gyms may close existing fountains as a precautionary measure.

This would minimise any risk, however small, of cross-contamination.

Gym-goers will also have to make sure they don't share their reusable bottle with anyone else and clean water bottles between each gym session.

6. Phone wipe and hand sanitiser stations

Businesses that have been allowed to stay open during lockdown have introduced hand sanitiser stations to help keep customers safe.

It could be possible that you'll see similar hand sanitiser and phone wipe stations appear at the entrance of gyms as well as next to different gym equipment.

If you use an alcohol-based hand gel, you need to ensure you use it for 20 to 30 seconds, according to the World Health Organisation (WHO).

7. Cleaning towels

Gyms should provide cleaning towels so their clients can wipe down equipment after use.

These are likely to be accompanied by sprays, wipes and disinfectant that protect against viruses like Covid-19.

8. Social distancing signage

Like other reopened businesses, you could find social distance signs and markers in your local gym or fitness studio.

Gym-goers will have to ensure they keep the two-metre social distancing rule at all times and avoid using equipment directly next to wear someone else is working out.

9. PTs wear masks and gloves

If gyms follow in the footsteps of other establishments that have already reopened doors, you'll see your PT and other gym staff wearing a face mask.

Staff may also be made to wear gloves when cleaning equipment and checking in members at the front desk.

10. Surface cleaning every 15mins

Gyms are likely to increase hygiene measures when they do reopen to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.

This would mean all gym equipment and weights being wiped down more often – especially for high use areas such as pin pads, door handles, lockers and equipment.

Gym-goers will also have to wipe down the machines they've been on after use with disinfectant.

11. One way flow system with 'in and out' door

If gyms follow other establishments, it could mean you'll see one-way systems in place when you next visit your fitness studio.

This could include doors being used for entrances and exits only.

12. Capacity monitoring

Gyms will likely have to limit the number of people allowed inside at one time.

This could mean you may face queuing to get inside.

Chatty Dobson, owner of fitness studio FLEX Chelsea, told The Sun: "We will need to reduce class sizes to maintain social distancing, and will be enforcing staggered class check-in time so as not to have a build-up of clients in reception or outside studios before classes.

"Our bathrooms will be open, but we’re waiting for updates as to whether or not it will be possible for clients to use the showers."

As well as the above measures, gyms may also try to focus on outdoor bootcamps, given transmission of the virus is lower outdoors.

Chatty added: "At the moment everything is very up in the air – we have no indication of how much of our attention should be directed to our reopening."

A woman named Kimberly Alexander claims Tristan Thompson is the father of her son

In early January, an Instagram model named Kimberly Alexander came forward to accuse Thompson of fathering her son. In response to the accusation, the Cleveland Cavaliers player took a DNA test which came back negative. However, Alexander did not drop the issue.

She claimed that Thompson and Kardashian falsified the results and wants another DNA test. Now, Alexander is being sued for libel.

Tristan Thompson and Khloé Kardashian are suing Kimberly Alexander

Alexander has allegedly been saying that Thompson fathered her 4-year-old son after being evicted from at least five different residences within the past seven years. Her most recent eviction was in July of 2019.

Though Thompson has admitted to having sex with Alexander during his rookie season, 2011-2012, their encounters do not align with the age of Alexander’s son.

Now the NBA player and reality star are suing the model for libel. In a cease and desist letter, their lawyers wrote. “Alexander a wannabe social media influencer and pornographic model/performer who is so desperate to achieve her fifteen minutes of fame that she recently fabricated a false claim that NBA star/Cleveland Cavaliers center/power forward Thompson is the father of her nearly five-year-old son. A reputable, accredited DNA lab approved by her own lawyers has conclusively determined that Thompson is not the father of Alexander’s child. Alexander has persisted in publicly proclaiming that Thompson is her child’s father.”

Thompson is allegedly seeking damages to prove a point and to deter this type of content in the future.

Nikki & Brie Bella Are Showing Off Their Bare Bumps Again

Brie Bella has hit the 30-week mark in her pregnancy and Nikki Bella is about 29 weeks along, and neither twin was about to let these milestones pass by without a bit of a celebration. What that means these days is a pregnancy photo shoot, selfie style. But hey, even if they’re not in some professional studio surrounded by perfect lighting, the former WWE Divas are radiant as they bare their growing bellies.

“I’m 30 weeks today!” Bella said in her Instagram Stories. “Can you believe it, you guys? Look how big this belly is!”

In the photo also posted to Instagram, Bella is wearing a long tan robe with Western-style fringes — just the kind of flowy garment that makes pregnancy just a little more comfortable. Her lower-belly bear-claw tattoo still looks great, too.

30 weeks 🤠

A post shared by Brie Bella (@thebriebella) on

“It’s just going to keep on getting bigger,” she said on Instagram, showing off her bump. “No more than really 10 weeks until I’m going to be a mother of two. Gosh, who knows? Am I going to have two girls, a boy and a girl? There’s a lot going on. I better start that nursery, huh?”

Bella’s tone in this last part of her video sounds a tad bit coy — we think that she either already knows what she’s having, or she’s planning some kind of surprise related to her nursery. Or maybe we’re reading too much into this.

Twin sister Nikki also posted a photo on Sunday showing off her bump and its cute new feature, an outie belly button.

“Lazy Sunday ❤️ Almost 29 weeks (belly button is starting to pop out ☺️),” she wrote.

It’s great to see Nikki healthy and happy, after her baby’s heart scare a few weeks ago, and we’re looking forward to more progress pics from both sisters!
